GCap Media Hires DA for UGC platforms
4 May 2007
DA Group plc is pleased to announce that GCap Media, the UK’s leading commercial radio group, has hired Yomego, the entertainment division of DA Group, to develop listener platforms for user generated content (UGC).
GCap, which operates 47 locations across the UK, including recognisable brands such as Classic FM, Capital 95.8 and Xfm, will work with Yomego to create interactive Web and Wap sites for a number of its radio stations. These sites will incorporate Yomego’s UGC entertainment platform, a proven infrastructure with an unrivalled range of functionality, which has been deployed by other media organisations including GMTV, MTV and Endemol.
The first project is due for completion by the end of May, with others set to be rolled out over the next few months.
Mike Antliff, CEO of DA Group plc, said, “We are very excited to be working with GCap Media who are focused on developing platforms which will allow them to better interact with their listeners and build stronger communities around each of their brands. It was our track record for robust technology and experience for delivering such projects that won the business, but this is the kind of project that really allows us to use our creativity. The opportunity is there for us to work on a wide range of GCap’s stations.
